The Codex
The ordained books' origins are unfamiliar to most, if not all, other than Salus. While harbored on him at all times, there is never a wink it's opened in public or, for that matter, rarely exhibited for anyone to witness. Only those rare few might catch the strange leather binding that bounded the book from opening and the glowing gemstone that sits within its epicenter. A vibrant mystical emanation bleeding out from the point, compelling a need to step away and leave the book alone altogether. Where the book came from, what the association to Salus is with it, and what secrets there might be within remains an enigma. Perhaps those bold enough to delve further into Salu's life may uncover its intention. (This item is a plot device tool, if there is a desire to get involved with the storyline of it, your character has to be in good relations with Salus first.) |
Bag of hiding
This bag serves a dual purpose, both of which get utilized on a very regular basis. The first is a simple bag of holding mechanic. While the enchantment is diminutive compared to others, it can still carry things magically past what a standard pack of that size can, allowing light travel during adventures and outings. The secondary function, though, is something of a much more exceptional criterion. When thrown to the ground and a specific phrase is said, the bag will convert into what is the equivalent of a black hole underfoot—either allowing Salus to jump into it for temporary protection or potentially capturing another unexpecting of this odd trick. At any point, Salus can determine whether to leave the bag himself or free the person inside. It only lasts roughly five to ten minutes before the bag deactivates, requiring twenty-four hours to recharge before use again. |
